ἀκουσματικοί · the listeners

The cosmos of your voice.

Spoken thought is the most human thing you make — alive for a moment, then gone. We build a place where it lasts.

Chapter I

Hear without seeing.

In 530 BCE, Pythagoras taught from behind a veil. His outer students — the Akousmatikoi, the listeners — were not permitted to see him. They heard only his voice. For five years, they sat in silence, absorbing.

The belief was simple: sight distracts. The body performs. Only the voice carries thought in its purest form.

Twenty-five centuries later, your voice is still the most personal thing you produce. Your thinking, your hesitation, your emphasis, your tone. Everything that makes you you — audible for a moment, and then gone.

We build for that voice — so what you say becomes something kept, not something lost.

Chapter II

Two assets, one voice.

Speak, and you create two forms of value that compound over time.

I

Your voice.

Your timbre, your cadence, the way you pronounce the word coincidence. This is data only you produce — and we believe it should stay yours, used only with your consent, only ever for you.

II

Your mind.

The thinking beneath the words. Meeting ideas, shower epiphanies, walking monologues, half-formed hunches — your mind in motion, captured as you lived it. Searchable, organized, yours to revisit decades from now.

Chapter III

Four principles.

  1. 01

    Private by default.

What you create stays yours. No surveillance, no telemetry, nothing trained on you behind your back. Privacy is where we start, not a setting we offer.

  2. 02

    Permanent by design.

We build things meant to last — durable from day one, able to outlive the apps, the platforms, and the companies that made them. Ours included.

  3. 03

    Silent by craft.

No notifications. No nags. No dark patterns. The best tools disappear until the moment you need them — then are exactly there.

  4. 04

    Yours by philosophy.

Open formats. No lock-in. If you ever leave, you leave with everything — intact. What you make belongs to you, never to us.
